DETAILS:
The iMac Pro “8-Core” 3.2 27-Inch (5K, Late 2017) features a 3.2 GHz Intel Xeon W-2140B processor with eight independent processor “cores” on a single chip, 19 MB of cache, 32 GB of difficult to upgrade 2666 MHz DDR4 ECC SDRAM, a 1 TB SSD, and an Radeon Pro Vega 56 graphics processor with 8 GB of dedicated HBM2 video memory. It also has a built-in 1080p “FaceTime HD” webcam, stereo speakers, four microphones, and a 27″ 5120×2880 LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen IPS DCI-P3 “Retina 5K” display, all packed in a thin, dark “Space Gray” housing.
Connectivity includes four USB 3.0 ports, four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, Nbase-T Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.
Compared to the “regular” 27-Inch iMac models that this iMac Pro complements, the iMac Pro not only has a dark “Space Gray” housing, but also has a much faster and more advanced architecture and graphics architecture as well as faster memory and storage and additional connectivity, but is much more difficult to upgrade, an unfortunate — and unnecessary — limitation for a “professional” system.
